Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation

The 2004 opening of the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) in Semarang, Indonesia, was regarded internationally as a major counter terrorism innovation. The joint venture between the Australian and Indonesian governments was managed and developed collaboratively by the Australian Federal Police and Indonesian National Police and attracted interest and support from law enforcement agencies around the world.

JCLEC celebrates its 15th year in 2019, and continues to be a success story in terms of its ongoing effectiveness as a facilitator of professional networks, cooperation and outcomes.

The JCLEC is an international training facilitator of choice catering for international sponsors and clients, it facilitates over one hundred courses a year addressing themes including but not limited to: leadership; cross border cooperation; gender equity; counter terrorism and human trafficking. JCLEC’s considerable alumni network now comprises over 31,000 participants and over 6,500 teaching and SME providers.
