The Lombok Treaty, 2006
The Lombok Treaty is an agreement between Australia and Indonesia that provides a framework for addressing traditional and non-traditional security challenges. It provides a strong legal framework for encouraging bilateral dialogue, exchanges and the implementation of cooperative activities.
It strengthens commitments to cooperate on defence, law enforcement, counter-terrorism, maritime security, and on emergency management and response.
