Margaret Regnault PSM, was the first female head of the Australian development program in Indonesia from 1994 to 1998. 

Beyond Indonesia, Ms Regnault was Australia’s pioneering female development officials. She was one of the first to be posted overseas (Singapore, 1968) and the first development official to be posted to the Pacific (Suva, 1972). 

More recently Ms Regnault came out of retirement to help Australia's response to the 2004 tsunami in Aceh in Indonesia.
