Peggy Hartanto.

Peggy Hartanto is a fashion designer based in Surabaya, Indonesia. Her line of ready-to-wear fashion debuted in 2012 at the Jakarta Fashion Week, and it has gone on to win awards in Indonesia, Australia and throughout the world.

Ms Hartanto studied fashion design at Raffles College of Design and Commerce in Sydney. She went on to work at Collete Dinnigan, one of Australia's premier fashion labels, before returning to Indonesia to launch her own label.

‘Australia offered a really great education in fashion design ... When we started the label we had a wishlist I still remember - it was showing in Jakarta Fashion Week, to be in a spread in a magazine, and to be sold in Galleries Lafayette. We're still hoping to have our dream fashion show in Paris and also in Milan and New York. Also we're hoping to have our own store,’ Ms Hartanto said. 

‘To have a dream is very important, just work hard and set a target that you want to achieve and keep believing in yourself. I hope that my work can inspire other women to achieve what they dream and to be successful,’ she said.
