General Da'i Bachtiar AO.

General Da’i Bachtiar was Chief of the Indonesian National Police and President of the Indonesian Crime Prevention Foundation at the time of the Bali bombings.

In 2003 he was made an Honorary Officer of the Order of Australia for establishing a joint investigation taskforce following the bombings.

He played a significant role in establishing closer police cooperation between Australia and Indonesia and was awarded an Adjunct Professorship from Australia’s Edith Cowan University.
