Australia Awards

The Australia Awards in Indonesia (AAI) program carries on a tradition of providing scholarships that have been offered by the Australian Government for more than 60 years. AAI contribute to Indonesia’s development by strengthening human capital and growing people-to-people links between our two countries.

Since the first Australia scholarship offered under the Colombo Plan in 1953, more than 11,000 Indonesians have studied at Australian tertiary institutions through long term and short term study, with many alumni going on to hold positions of influence and making significant contributions to Indonesia's development.
